Our policy at Definitive Work Permits is NO VISA...NO FEE !!

This page gives a general overview of what's involved in applying for a UK Work Permit.

STAGE 1: If you have a candidate in mind......what do you need to do?
Firstly, you need to discover if your candidate qualifies?
Then, download our Employers Assessment Form ( Rich Text Document - 12kb - requires WinZip )
After receiving the completed form, we will access both the position on offer and the candidate's eligibility to determine how we can assist you.

Then, within 48 hours we will contact you as to how we can proceed with your case.

STAGE 2: These documents will then be required in order for us to process your application:
References required are dependent on the candidate's qualifications. These references must be on letter headed paper, and must confirm the dates of the candidate's previous employment and position. It is helpful to have references that detail technical / professional skills in previous roles, while testimonials to character and competence are generally not required.
Copies of the candidate's academic or professional qualifications, memberships etc.
If the candidate is to work on a client projects, signed copies of a selection of contracts with the clients concerned.
The candidate's passport if they are in the UK, and if the candidate has held a previous work permit, please include a copy.
Provide a copy of the company's most recent audited accounts or latest annual report, company brochures, marketing / publicity materials etc. This request is standard practice by the DfEE to ensure that you qualify as a bonafide UK employer.
If you have NOT made an application before, or made an application within the last four years, or your company has NOT been trading long enough to have filed accounts, you will need to provide additional information including:
A copy of the company's Certificate of Incorporation
A copy of any office lease signed by the company
A copy of utility bills , invoices
Proof of company funding (i.e. business bank statement, or other supporting documentation)
STAGE 3: Processing Your Application
If your candidate qualifies, and we have received all the relevant documentation and paperwork, the process will take about 1 week to complete from our submission.

We finalize all the paperwork and liaise with the DfEE and Work Permits (UK) to ensure that your company's requirements are properly presented for a favourable and prompt decision.
