DEFINITIVE WORK PERMITS are a United Kingdom Work Permit consultancy assisting
employers in the process of securing skilled overseas professionals.
We live in an increasingly competitive global market and skills are
at a premium, thus it's essential for the prosperity of the economy
that UK businesses are able to recruit skilled staff from abroad if
the skills are not immediately available within the UK.
It is OUR BUSINESS at Definitive Work Permits to help UK companies
secure the skills and talent they need. The employment
of overseas nationals often brings important benefits to the UK by
helping attract investment, is a catalyst for the creation of jobs
and quells skill shortages within the UK. The British Work Permit scheme
enables an employer to recruit the best people from around
the world.
We offer a to determine a candidate's eligibility
and the level of post on offer by the sponsoring UK employer,
and in accordance with current Government Regulations. We
provide authoritative guidance and impartial advice
to determine the most effective course of action in regard
to both the employer and candidate's individual circumstances.
We compile all the necessary documentation in order to submit
a proper application on the employer's behalf, and throughout
the application period, we undertake all liaison with the relevant
government departments to ensure a fair and prompt decision.
In the rare instance that a bonafide application is refused,
we will lodge an appeal to overturn a decision that we feel
is inappropriate. Applications currently take approximately 1 week
to be considered by the relevant governing body, and once
approved (we will forward the permit to the employer and
advise on how to proceed depending on the candidate's nationality
and location (i.e. whether they are in or outside
the UK).
The Work Permit Scheme enables UK employers to recruit or transfer
people from outside the European Union when qualified people are
not readily available. International employers can thus transfer
staff to and from the UK to make best use of their skills and experience.
The UK also helps other countries to increase their number of trained
workers by allowing young people to gain training and work experience,
which is not readily available to them elsewhere.
The Work Permit category encompasses a wide variety of occupations,
however some are considered in extreme short supply and termed
Shortage Occupations and have been notified by the relevant professional
bodies as being in chronic need within the UK. However,
the Work Permit scheme does NOT extend to all types of employment.
It is restricted to what might be referred to as professional,
executive or highly skilled posts and therefore excludes
unskilled and semiskilled employment.
A UK Work Permit does NOT constitute a contract of employment
between the Permit holder and the Employer, nor does the issue of
a Permit constitute any obligation upon the Immigration Officer to
give the holder leave to enter the United Kingdom. Therefore,
on no account should a candidate make travel arrangements or
travel to the UK without the necessary Work Permit (and UK
Entry Clearance if necessary) having first been issued. |
